The list below is for a small set of short, easy walks. Points of interest are highlighted with a blue square or number. Activating any of these offers a link that opens a text file in the same browser window (so use browser back arrow to return to map). This works ok on a laptop or tablet. On a smartphone the links may be small and awkward (and some maps are better in landscape mode). I find it helps to have the app from https://footpathapp.com/ to keep a live track of where you are on the walk maps on this site. (Although the GPX option is more powerful if you want to try it – see next paragraph)

The ‘GPX option’ link only applies if you have an internet device for the walk (with a GPX viewer app). The link causes a file download to your phone/tablet. Advice: do not click  this link until you have viewed this GPX file help video. That advice (downloading and then installing) should be carried out from the device you will use on the walk – because it will provide the file that needs to be downloaded to that particular device. However you will need a GPX viewer on your device to load the file into (I am using GPX viewer and chrome browser on an iphone and the help file images refer to that example.  Other viewers are possible. Other browsers are possible. Other phones are possible.
